our family’s craft story
In 1985, Susana Velasco started Florsan Handicraft in a rented shop in her hometown of Paete. Wooden ducks, birds and other handmade pieces were the beginning.
Her husband, Florentino, later joined her in the business. As their children grew up around the work, craft became part of the family’s shared life.
In 2010, their daughter Lorena established Jalikee Arts and Craft. The businesses came together in 2016, carrying the family’s experience into new materials and collections.
Today, that story continues with the skilled craftspeople of Paete and neighboring communities, and with the customers and partners who make the work possible.
